Santo and Miguel is a comedy film intertwined with search for a freedom, friendship, colorful characters, conflicted interests, unrequited love, and all of that with a libertarian background, dedicated to "all those who are fleeing" and who cannot find the way to do it. But when the life presents you with lucky break, what would you do to seize the opportunity, to not let the chance slip through your fingers? And that is exactly what happens to Santo and Miguel, two 30-year-olds who are working temporary underpaid jobs. Both leave their jobs disappointed. Also, Miguel is forced to stay with a girl who he does not love because her father is a local boss and, of course, he threatened to kill him. On the other side, Santo's grandmother is in the death bed every time she feels ill, and every time she is surrounded by suspicious and mysterious characters who are conveniently in the house exactly when Santo is at home. This time his grandmother dies, but not before she manages to whisper something into the Santo's ear. And then the reason of the real presence of the mysterious characters is revealed. They become hostile immediately, demanding the exact words of the deceased. Caught by surprise, Santo and Miguel didn't have time to run and forced, Santo reveals that there is something at the attic. After failed search, unknown hosts lock Santo and Miguel at the attic to find what they want. Confused and like guided by destiny, Santo and Miguel end up finding a ridiculous amount of money. The money gives them the opportunity to make their dreams of a different life come true and to escape on some other continent. Of course, their discovery doesn't go undetected and the adventurous game of fleeing and characters who want that money at all costs begins. At first, it seems that the money came out of nowhere, but behind its appearance is a very precise story that connects the lives of all the protagonists. Santo and Miguel are put in the middle of that game and they are using every bit of their strength to overcome the situations they run into. Their ignorance is putting them from one trouble into the other and every time it seems that the fate is on their side, the new trouble emerges. The only constant is the friendship of Santo and Miguel. But, a person presumed to be dead is magically appearing and it is tied up with money more than anyone else and it will stop at nothing to eliminate the competition. And that's how the story begins...
